Lars van Josten and DJ Todde, both born in a picturesque city called Dortmund, situated in the middle of the Ruhr area, launched their career as funk & house DJs in 1992. Soon, Lars was organising events and worked as a club promoter in his hometown. With his initiative and dedication, he pushed the development of a local house & techno scene like no one else in his otherwise underdeveloped area.

In 1999, Lars, supported by DJ Todde, called the zuHOUSE events into existance. A lot of national and international big names visited them over the years, amongst them GEORGE MOREL, FALCON, TOM NOVY, DISCO BOYS… In 2000, they started another successful event called "DEPARTURE DTM" @ Sixx.PM with guests like PAUL VAN DYK, WESTBAM, MOGUAI and TIMO MAAS. As Lars and Todde played a lot of gigs together, so it felt natural to take the project to the next level and eventually, in 2001, they decided to DJ as a team – the zuHOUSE ROCKERS were born.

They enthused the crowd not only at their own partys but also at a lot of other gigs in the whole of Germany (Delight und Modernes/Bremen, Betty Ford/Hamburg, Kick/Herford, Tribehouse/Neuss, Bungalow-Club, A9/Bayreuth, Dorian Gray/Frankfurt), gigs in Ibiza (Space, Bora Bora, El Divino) and France (Snowzone, Boarderweek) followed.

When you watch them behind the wheels of steel it becomes obvious that they have a lot of fun, never without leaving aside the musical and technical demands required to play a good set . The successful collaboration between Lars and Todde was transfered into production in 2002 with the help of PETER JÜRGENS (Prawler, Peter Gun) & BERTY POLZIN (Beatcounter). Amsterdam based artist DADARA ® designed all the cover artworks for their releases, a co-operation they are very proud of.

The first 12 inch was released in June 2002 and distributed by Peppermint Jam. Four weeks later the vinyl was sold out and listed in the playlists of The Disco Boys, Tune Brothers, Phil Fuldner and others. The second release followed in September 2002 and another 8 weeks later it was also sold out. 2003 No. 003 and No. 004, "Lonely Heart" and "Power", came out and took a similar successful way.

In February 2004, Lars van Josten and DJ Todde started their own club called zuHOUSE.Club which is of course based in Dortmund. There’s nowhere like home…
