The decision, which Housetrack will become a worldwide super hit, comes every year anew in summer on Ibiza. This year the dj scene came really fast to an agreement: nearly no other track has been played in Ibiza clubs of the island as often, like “So Many Times” from Gadjo feat. Alexandra Prince. At the beginning of the season Erick Morillo discovered the track, which originally has been released by the German house label “MuschiTunes”. The most successful House DJ at present licensed it directly to his own label “Subliminal Rec.”, which is maybe the most successful House label at the moment by the way. Within the shortest time nearly every Superstar DJ worldwide got crazy about that track, “So Many Times” made it in the top then charts Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, Seamus Haji and also Tom Novy just to name a few. Nearly no House club on earth, where this tune is not played every night at least once since that summer.

“So Many Times” hit the whole wide world: it reached No. 1 at the NRJ dance charts in France, similar results are reported from Italy or Australia – and it is expected in the U.K. to reach top ten of the official sales charts in spring 2005.

Over the summer Gadjo feat. Alexandra Prince have played some marvelous gigs including the closing parties at Ibiza of “Subliminal Sessions” and “Pete Tong’s Essential Mix BBC 1” at Pacha and also at the seasons closing party at Space. Especially at the last one Gadjo and Alexandra Prince brought down the house: as the playback of “So Many Times” started the whole crowd started to sing – and Alexandra Prince was not able to sing their own vocals as she was so overwhelmed! But then, some minutes later, she started again and everyone in the club went crazy!
Another great gig of Gadjo feat. Alexandra Prince was at the legendary club event series “Cream” in Liverpool.

Gadjo is the project of Murat Arslan from Hamburg, who has been a DJ and producer for many years. In the past he has worked with many other producers including Skye from Syke´n´Sugarrstar. He also has been involved into the work on different huge chart hits, like “Lonely” from Nana. This is when he met Alexandra Prince for the first time. She sang the female vocals on that track. They immediately became friends and Alexandra worked with Murat on two Gadjo tracks in the last years. Their first hit in 2002 was “Besame Mucho”, which was played all over Europe and has been licensed to BMG. After that first success they produced the smash hit “So Many Times” and they are working currently on the follow up, which is going to be called “Since I Left You” and will be released in summer 2005.

Most people recognized Gadjo aka Murat Arslan just some time ago for the first time, but he is an active producer and DJ since years. Like Boris Dlugosch, Michi Lange, Kid Alex or also Knee Deep he is coming straight out of the House scene of Hamburg. After his first success with “Besame Mucho”, he produced the track “Punk City” together with Syke, which has been released on “Southern Fried”, the label owned by Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim. Other tracks and remixes followed this hit and Gadjo played in all the major clubs in the world.

Since last summer Murat Arslan has started to work with a DJ partner, who plays all DJ gigs with him under the banner Gadjo DJ Team. The partners name is Tim Wagner, who is living in Hamburg since several years. He raised in the area of Dusseldorf, where he started to spin records a long time ago. Murat and Tim became good friends while they were playing several gigs together, so Murat finally decided to team up with him.

The success story of Gadjo just started: soon „So Many Times“ will hit the charts worldwide. But that’s not all – be prepared for several other big tunes coming soon in the near future!
