SOUL CONSPIRACY

Simon van Kesteren aka Soul Conspiracy set foot on Planet Earth in the year 1986, on the 22nd of July. He grew up listening to various music styles and developed a strong interest for everything that had to do with sound. After taping his family members, making radio plays and cutting and pasting strange sound effects he started making his own radio show around the age of ten. As time passed by, Simon gained more and more experience with computers and various techniques, which led to recording tracks with class mates during high school. Having listened to electronic music for years, and having just discovered a new piece of music software which gave him the opportunity to produce in a more professional way, his tracks were sounding better and better. Several demos were sent and responded to unsuccessfully, but around 2004 Simon sent three new tracks to German dj and producer Sharam Jey which resulted in his very own first release on vinyl.

Since then, his tracks have been put out on labels such as Work and Fresh Fruit (Rhythm Import), Flamingo Recordings, Soulfuric, R & G Electronics, Chega, Rootz Records and N.E.W.S. Records. Since then he has also remixed artists such as Hardsoul, Bob Sinclar and jazz-singer Natalie Williams.

Around 2005, Simon was introduced to Dutch dj Baggi Begovic, with whom he still works today. Together they have been responsible for remixes of Christina Aguilera, Donna Summer, Shawn Christopher and Copyright on prestigious labels such as Defected, Burgundy Records (Sony), Nervous and Stealth Records.

Influenced by lots of music styles and artists (Stuart Price, Fela Kuti, Masters At Work, Cerrone, DJ Gregory, Dennis Ferrer, Basement Jaxx, Goldfrapp) Simon tries to put down his own specific mark on every production made. He is not a dj, nor a performer, rather remaining behind the scenes producing, remixing and engineering. He'd never want to end up into one specific style and therefore produces more than house music alone. Whether it's pop, game music or a film score, all options remains open.

With the track "Would Not Change a Thing" Soul Conspiracy presents a new collaboration with the lovely australian Jamie Lee Wilson who resides in the sunny Australian Gold Coast, and her voice is just as radiate as the Queensland beaches. Celebrity clubbers and international DJs have been mesmerized by her magnetic vocals and stellar performances.
This Australian talent has been wowing audiences with her electrifying gigs on the London, Russian, Australian and European club scene.
